Had a blast showing Jason @spooningaust around Mystery Bay after a local Probus group talk on Kelp Health in sunny #bermagui
Jason & his Mumma were a delight to host in the hood with golf cart shenanigans 😂

“I’m showing my age, I went to a Probus activity with my folks, the Bermagui Probus group had a morning tea/lunch with the seaweed lady hahaha 🌊🧜🏻♀️🌊
We had a talk with @mbkelp about the benefits of kelp and iodine for the body.
Did you know? Iodine is an essential micronutrient, which is lacking in today’s food chain, and kelp is a great source. The iodine from Mystery Bay Kelp helps gut health, supports digestion and healthy thyroid gland function, plus much more. 🦵🦴🌿😄
I loved the talk so much that I organised a visit to where she farms the kelp at Mystery Bay and to spend a little time in the world of the seaweed lady. 🪸🪸
Lee-Anne Eddie lives at Mystery Bay and naturally farms the kelp, the thing you call seaweed and go ewwwwwww when you stand on it in the ocean, it washes up every few days, big onshore winds help! She started it after some health issues that general practitioners didn’t resolve well enough and ended up researching iodine benefits and the rest they say is a Sponge Bob episode!
She took me around in a golf cart, well mum and I took turns and we went to her workshop, sadly no kelp on our day but we saw her garlic that she blackens herself and the wonderful chilli that smells like tomatoes. We saw her process, and we bought heaps of her kelp – my definite fave is the chilli – you simply use it as a salt alternative, and you apply it generously anywhere you use salt! On eggs is the bestest!!!! “
